Multidisciplinary

The Multidisciplinary course is designed to enhance comprehensive, team-based care in skilled nursing facilities by addressing some of the most common and high-risk clinical challenges. Participants will examine antibiotic stewardship to reduce resistance and adverse outcomes, alongside the early recognition and management of stroke, sepsis, and skin and soft tissue infections. The course also emphasizes fall prevention, pressure ulcer prevention and management, and safe PEG tube care, all critical to reducing complications and avoidable hospitalizations. Through evidence-based strategies, early warning signs, and clear escalation protocols, this course supports coordinated care, improved safety, and better outcomes for vulnerable residents.
